``T.``

UMBRIA ROSSO I.G.T.

Only the best grapes contribute to the creation of this wine. The wine “T.” acquires the initial of the late marquis Tommaso Misciattelli Mocenigo Soranzo, who introduced the sacred indigenous Umbrian grape varietal Sagrantino to the estate (from which this wine is solely made). All grapes are grown on the estate of Montegiove and come from the single vineyard “La Selva”. The wine is produced exclusively from carefully selected grape clusters, handpicked at perfect ripeness and meticulously vinified, aged and fined in the castle cellars. The vineyard, is located on a site carefully selected with respect to soil and sun exposure, at altitudes from 450 to 480 meters. “T.” is aged 24 months exclusively in medium toasted new French Sessile barriques and tonneaux, seasoned for 24 and 36 months. After barrel aging, this wine receives at least 24 months of additional maturation in bottle. The resulting wine has an intense dark garnet red colour, enjoyable toasted aromas, intense blackberry and deep dark cherry flavours, prominent tannins, and a strong evident personality. This wine is suited for long ageing and is ideally paired with venison, wild boar, or roasted and braised meat.

“Impenetrable dark red. Notes of ripe blackberries, cherries in brandy, rose, sandalwood and sweet tobacco. Overwhelming mouth feel, very present acidity and impetuous tannins.” FIS (Italy)

“Persistently majestic” L.M. (Italy)
